1.KOKIRI FOREST. The starting point in the game.
Here Link starts his adventure and collects the first Spiritual Stone. It is also here that Link acquires the Kokiri Sword and the Deku Shield. It is here that Link fights Queen Gohma and watches the Deku Tree die. When Link leaves Kokiri Forest he acquires the Fairy Ocarina. Here Link enters the Lost Woods, makes it through and learns Saria's Song. Later as an adult, Link comes back here to the Lost Woods to awaken the Forest Sage in the Forest Temple. Here Link acquires the Fairy Bow and fights Phantom Ganon.
Here Link learns that Saria is the Sage of Forest and is rewarded with the Forest Medallion.

2.HYRULE FIELD/4. LON LON RANCH. The largest part in the game.
Here Link talks to Kaepora Gaebora for the first time and learns his destiny. Here Link makes his way to Hyrule Castle to see the princess. Here Link as an adult plays a trick on Ingo to make him give up Epona. Here Link races an unbeatable man and loses every time. Here Link trades the final mask in the mask trading quest to a running man at night. He can also find a few heart pieces here.

3.KAKARIKO VILLAGE/DEATH MOUNTAIN. The best place to live.
Here Link ventures onto Death Mountain Trail, up to Goron City and talks to Darunia to obtain the Spiritual Stone of Fire. He makes a deal with Darunia and enters Dodongo's Cavern in order to fulfill his promise. He obtains a Bomb bag and upgrades it many times in order to hold more bombs. He defeats King Dodongo and breaks the curse of the Dodongo's Cavern. As an adult everyone who lived in Hyrule Castle Town moves to Kakariko Village because of Ganondorf's invasion. Here as an adult Link obtains the Hookshot from Dampe's grave which will help him very much in his quest. Later as an adult Darunia is missing and Link must enter the Fire Temple to break the curse and defeat Volvagia with his newly found Megaton Hammer. Here Link learns that Darunia is the Sage of Fire. There are a few heart pieces to find here. Later on his quest Link finds the Shadow Temple. He finds the Hover Boots which allow him to float for short distances and he defeats Bongo Bongo. He recieves the Shadow Medallion from Impa the Sage of Shadow.

5.ZORA'S RIVER/DOMAIN/FOUNTAIN. The wettest place to live.
Here Link comes to obtain the third Spiritual Stone, the one of Water. He plays a diving game and wins the prize, the Silver Scale which allowed him to dive deeper. He enters Jabu Jabu's belly by placing a fish in front of him. In Jabu Jabu's Belly he finds the missing child Princess Ruto. He has to carry Ruto around in order to get the stone that she has lost inside of Jabu's Belly. Link finds the Boomerang and it helps him defeat the boss; Barinade. Link wins the Spiritual Stone of Water and also wins Ruto's heart. As an adult Link must enter the Ice Cavern and obtain the Iron Boots which will allow him to sink underwater. Here he also learns the Serenade of Water. King Zora also gives him the Zora Tunic.

6.HYRULE CASTLE/TOWN MARKET/GANONS CASTLE. The evilest place to live.
Here Link sneaks past guards in order to meet with Princess Zelda. Impa teaches him his first song, Zelda's Lullaby. The trademark of the Royal Family of Hyrule. This song helps Link on his quest GREATLY. When Link collects all three Spiritual Stones, he enters the Temple of Time and sings the Song of Time which Zelda teaches him telepathically. He pulls out the legendary Master Sword and is sealed inside the Chamber of Sages for seven years. Ganondorf seizes the oppurtunity and steals his away into the Chamber of Sages and steals the Triforce. As an adult Link enters Ganon's Castle, destroys the six barriers and gets the Golden Gauntlets, which will help him destroy Ganondorf. He climbs up Ganon's Tower and defeats Ganondorf. He must later escape from the castle and fight Ganon on a destroyed Ganon's Castle. Link defeats Ganon once and for all.

7.LAKE HYLIA. The second wettest place to be.
Here Link enters the Water Temple and finds the Longshot, which is an upgraded version of the Hookshot. Here Link also fights Dark Link and defeats him. He also defeats Morpha with the Longshot. He recieves the Water Medallion from Ruto, the Sage of Water. He also gets the Fire Arrows, the Golden Scale and two heart pieces here.

8. GERUDO VALLEY/FORTRESS/HAUNTED WASTELAND/DESERT COLOSSUS. The driest place to be.
Here Link sneaks around the Gerudo's Fortress and rescues four carpenters from their cells in order to earn the Gerudo's trust. He then goes into the Haunted Wasteland and follows a ghost Poe to get to the Desert Colossus. In there he finds the Spirit Temple. In the Spirit he learns of Nabuuro's plans and must become a kid in order to help her. He finds the Silver Gauntlets. Then he watches Nabuuro get brainwashed by Twinrova, a pair of witches who are Ganondorf's most loyal minions. Later Link returns as an adult to try to rescue Nabuuro from Twinrova. He gets the Mirror Shield in the process. He fights Twinrova and reflects their attacks on each other. He defeats them and learns that Nabuuro is the Sage of Spirit. He recieves the Spirit Medallion.
